Neighborhood Park Use

Neighborhood Parks in Glendale are intended to meet the needs of residents. These parks are designed for local, walk-in patrons to be used for spontaneous/passive recreational activities and, as such, usually do not have ample parking nor do they provide restroom facilities. (City Code 27.38, 27.41, 27.43c and 27.44)

The City of Glendale has 55 neighborhood parks located within its boundaries (see map below) or click here for park names and details. The city understands the value of neighborhood parks to the community and it is our goal to meet those expectations.

Sports Organizations in Neighborhood Parks
Many of the neighborhoods where these parks are located have become destination points for youth and adult sports organizations.

These types of activities create issues ranging from overcrowded neighborhoods, safety concerns, irreplaceable damage to turf and infrastructure, health concerns due to lack of restroom facilities and excessive trash generated by the overuse and congestion.

Practice and Game Fields in Glendale
